Eastbourne midfielder Paul Armstrong (dead leg) will face a late fitness test ahead of Forest Green's visit.Defender Marc Pullan is also a doubt after picking up a knee injury at Barrow last week.

Rovers goalkeeper Danny Ireland is still a doubt after suffering a nasty facial injury so understudy David Wilkinson may again deputise.

Joe O'Cearuill will have a late fitness test but Curtis Macdonald (ankle) and Lee Ayres (groin) are both out.

Forest Green manager Dave Hockaday told BBC Gloucestershire: "We're ahead of Eastbourne and they have to catch us. How significant that is, time will tell. We're out of the pack, we have good momentum and my concern is keeping us safe this season.

"They're dangerous from set pieces. They load people in the box from corners and free kicks, so we must make sure we don't give many or any of them away.

"They're a big old unit and they're fighting for their lives and it'll be a scrap down there.

"People are getting tired and we need to keep digging in."
